it seems like there’s supposed to be a straight path forward, but instead the road curves to avoid someone’s land. the obstacles do not block the path, they are the path, a woman’s slow voice says, and i realize this is true.
there’s a point at which doing something is just as scary as not, because either path leads you forward. i’ll write my fears down to cast them to sea.
